CCP needs a base station with 1 way control of IP devices. Both CCP and TC need Bluetooth control as well. Even if it is a separate box like Z-wave. TC needs some less expensive options.
If you don't need a base station you can get a $380 remote (MX-790) and $550 with MRX-260 base station. I'm not counting the MX-490 but that is even less expensive if someone has the patience to program it. OK for DIYers but the time to program would be a lot more than the PC based MX-790. TC is a minimum of $900 for their least expensive base station and remote.
For the average person an expensive remote is a tough sell and often not needed. There aren't as many people putting in regular surround systems, that market is definitely down. Today it is a TV with a sound bar for most and it doesn't need a programmable remote. I've been doing more work in the commercial market for control systems.
