Doesn't a Rep travel most of the time? I would not want to be out on the road continually.
This is my thought too. Would you be trading one career that never lets you be home for another one?
I was once talking to someone who's wife regularly complains if he isn't home by 5:30 because her father was working all the time. Her father made a very very good living and she never had any wants that weren't fulfilled. But was still angry that daddy was never home. I pointed out that most people regularly work 10 to 12 hours a day. Middle and upper class workers put in those hours in a career to provide a comfortable life style for their loved ones. People in lower class categories regularly work 2 and 3 jobs to get by. But either way, not many Americans actually get to pull the 9 to 5 thing and have the life they want their family to have.
