A new adapter, Plugable with Profilic HX RevD chipset, installed plug and play and worked out of the gate on my Win 10/64 os after a required restart. Four of my five MX-850's now communicate without issue with MX-850 Editor software. I suspect the problem with the fifth lies in a faulty remote. Note, not all Plugable adapters have this same chipset, so shop carefully.
