PBS stations is considering selling back its licence to the FCC, WGBU-DT 27. This is the third likely independently owned tv station that is leaning toward selling, causing viewers to purchase cable or satellite services to continue watching their programming. ION, Fox and CBS are indicating they will sell off spectrum they own in major cities which they operate a duopoly, then merge the two stations' signals into one ⇒ i.e. CBS and CW; Fox and MyTV.
