Great, but you're not going to get AMP control.
A real universal remote also has nice feel and build quality, requires no key mapping whatsoever, requires no pointing and will control any AMP, actually any device you can imagine. Furthermore, a universal can do macros that setup your whole system with a single button press rather than powering on the TV, AMP, PC and selecting the correct inputs manually. And you can put any command from any device on any button on the remote, eliminating the need to switch device modes to control different devices.
I think you've hit a dead end with the PS3 remote.
