Just bought a used DVD/CD player without a remote, expecting my one of my programmable Sony remotes would control it adequately.

Basic control is OK. I can get into set-up mode, but not navigate it. Am I missing something that I can do?

I have an RM-PP505 and an RM-LJ302, the second being my preferred remote as it has a basic display.

Alternatively which remotes will provide full control of the player? RM-ASP002 is the correct one, but very few available on ebay etc.
