Hello:

I am new to crestron programming and I am trying to copy a previous ML 600 programming file to a new ML-600. Here is what I have done so far.

1) I have connected the ML 600 via RS 232 on my PC to the 1/8 jack on the ML-600
2) Went into Toolbox and selected Address book-->serial on COM1 -->Auto Detect-->"OK" Nothing happened.

I then went into SIMPL v 4.02 and choose Slot -09 RF Receiver for MT Series CNRGGWA-416 on the Pro 2 controller and selected RFID-30 which is the ML500/600 that I am trying to copy to the new remote.

When I select RFID-30 then choose "Transfer Program" I get the Address book choose Serial on COM1 again and hit OK.

After about 10 seconds I get the following error:

"

Cannot transfer via Toolbox

This device could not be found or may not yet be supported by Crestron Toolbox. Check that the device is connected and that you have the most recent update of the Crestron Toolbox application.
Also, verify your settings in the Options->Crestron Toolbox Options-> Communications Settings to verify you are trying to connect to the proper device.
If all else fails, you can try launching the Viewport application via the Legacy Device Support option on the Tools menu.
"

When I try launching the Viewport it's grayed out. At this point I am not sure what to do. Can someone advise what I am doing wrong here.

Thanks in advance.
