I currently use a URC MX-780 to control my home theater. I wanted to play around with some iIS apps for my iPad/iPhone. I heard about Roomie Remote & iRule but was hoping to get more information here on these or other remote apps. All I'm looking for is really simple control to just get my feet wet. I have no intentions on replacing my MX-780 anytime soon.

Panasonic GT30 plasma display
Oppo BDP-103 BD player
Denon X4100 receiver
Directv STB
