1. You can get the same fuse from Digi-Key. Search for Digi-Key in this forum for the past 1 year. This is a carbon axial lead slow-blow fuse.

3. Yes, you can do it easily. Just be sure to watch the ribbon cables as they are thin mylar. I'll warn you though that there are about 6 clips around the edges of the DS that are a real pain in the ass to get loose just to get the thing open. Don't rip the thing apart or you risk damaging the cables..

However, if you are careful, you can do it quite easily. There are 4 T6 screws. One is underneath each rubber pad.
