We haven't used the module for it (we consider it's functionality to be best controlled and viewed with a PC and the Apps), so what little control I've needed was with IR so far.
As far as the unit is concerned, it's a great DVR with good features, and their Tech Support is excellent.
I believe I'll have time later this week to try out the module, I'll let you know.
