The MX-3000 is NOT intended for the retail market. They stopped sending the software when they installed the software policy. They continue to ship a disc with documentation on it. Where did you get that information from that it was for sale on the retail market? It is a professional product and will always be.
Bro, it is not edited under the CCP suite BECAUSE its a retail remote. For that reason URC did not make it a purely "professional" product. The URC national trainer himself gave me the reason.
Let me give you a list of other URC remotes that were sold in my big box retail store that fell under that same designation:
MX500
MX600
MX700RF
MX800RF
MX1000
MX3000
MRF100
MRF200
Endusers bought all of those remotes and programmed them themselves.
What they put in the box now I have no idea, but don't deify that platform into something it's not.
