The DM-MD16x16 is the central matrix switcher, that unit would (most likely) be located in a rack with all of the cable boxes and other sources. everything runs into the matrix via HDMI. For the TVs, you would need something like the DM-RMC-XX-XX (room box)at each of the TVs unless your TVs are about 35' or closer (Crestron recommendation ) so you can run HDMI to each; I prefer the room boxes. The whole system then gets controlled by the CP2E but my recommendations is that you upgrade to the CP3 (more and faster processing, memory, etc). As for the control from the iPad, you can make look and do pretty much whatever you want, one source to all (if the source has enough HDCP keys) or one source on each TV (if the numbers of sources is equal or large than the number of TVs).
