The touch panel file is stored on the touch panel itself and not the processor. You can extract a touch panel file from an AMX NXT-CV7 touch panel using TPDesign4. You do not have to connect to the processor to do this.

With regard to the code, you will not be able to extract the code from the processor without Netlinx Studio. Even if you have Netlinx Studio there is no guarantee the source code was uploaded when the compiled code was loaded on the processor. If it was, then you may be able to get it or you will find out that it was password protected.

Either way you will need Netlinx Studio in addition to TPDesign4 if you really want to redesign how the interface functions and the program works.
