I have an aging Philips TSU6000 and I'm beginning to worry about its lifespan since some of the hard buttons are getting wobbly. Any thoughts on what would be a similar replacement?

I would recommend upgrading to a Philips Pronto Professional TSU9600. While Philips has discontinued the Pronto line it is very easy to pick up a used TSU9600 and either of the RFX9x00 extenders in like new condition on EBay for a fraction of the cost they were retailing for.
