Are you sure you don't need RF? With a universal remote, I imagine you'll want to be able to press one button and have all devices for a particular activity turn on and switch to the proper inputs. Such macros won't work if you have to aim behind you to turn on the projector then in front of you for everything else. Since you have a pretty healthy budget, check out the URC MX line of remotes. (Personally, I'm very happy with my $15 JP1 remote which runs circles around other remotes 20 times the price, but it has no LCD or touchscreen).
