I'm on the fence about whether I like using a GUI on screen for control (ala Control4). I have seen it in action with a colleagues Crestron system using RTI handhelds...kind of cool, just not sure I'm going to use it, yet, for my clients.
We have the OSD avvailable from the AMS-AIP and I think it is useless. The only time I could see great value in it is like Tweeterguy said when using a thrid party handheld to receive the feedback.
Other than that we havve briefly looked at it on the AMS-AIP and never have/will do anything more with it. A pointless feature that is taken care of using either an iPad or Computer interface.
