My Fios remote will toggle on the TV, Pioneer & Set top Fios box...so far so good. Then when it comes time to watch a DVD, anyone other than myself (that would be my wife who is technically challenged) gets into trouble. Once the Blue Ray player is turned on, the Pioneer (I guess) automatically toggles the TV to show the Samsung Blue Ray, put in the disc and now we use the Samsung remote to control that. When we're done, it really gets dicey. We turn off the Samsung, the grab the remote from the Pioneer and must toggle through the inputs until we get to HDMI1 to see the TV. The display on the Pioneer can't be seen from the distance we work at so we need to get up from the chair to see where we are in terms of input (not that we can't use the exercise).
The keys on all these remotes are fairly tiny and since I just turned 60 I would like to anticipate the need for a remote that has a bigger keypad and a display I can read without reading glasses.

I have read about the professionally programed remotes but quite frankly, they seem costly (although I would do it if necessary) and looking at some of the models suggested to others, the displays look awfully small.

I suppose that toggling the Pioneer back to the TV would require a macro as well as possibly some other situations.

So......what would be a suggestion for me? Can I get a remote and also something I can use my Iphone or Ipad with?

Thank you all in advance
Ray
