Short Story: I'm stupid...have no clue about remotes and need help
Long Story: Bought an Amp from Goodwill to use in my woodshop to listen to music, but the amp running the theatre died so I put in the Goodwill amp in it's place.
So my main goal is to get a remote that can control the Amp - but it would be nice if I could have it control other things too.
My list of items:
TV - Sony KV-2080R - only need to have a power button on this as this TV is 20+ years old...yes, I know...upgrade, but money is tight and I'm waiting for prices on TVs to come down before the Superbowl.
Digital TV Converter - Tivax - STB-T8 - We got rid of Cable TV as it was getting TOO expensive
DVD Player - KLH Digital - KD-1220
Tivo - Series 1 - you do see a pattern, don't you? If it works, why replace it?
AMP - Harmon Kardon AVR 225
The only piece that I don't have a remote for is the AMP, which is the main reason I'm looking for a universal remote that won't break the budget.
I did a search to see if the AVR 225 in all three places - found a file to download, guessing to program a remote. Searched the forums and didn't find anything current - latest was 2007, which really isn't current as I'm sure whatever remote was recommended won't be available anyway...
So, I'm hoping someone out there with a kind heart will help me in finding a remote that will work for the amp and maybe a few others.
