prodigy will no longer have access to the PTX3… it will only have the PLX3. you can't program in simpl anymore ( i can't anyway)
and you are more sandboxed then ever before … that being said, it will have its place for lower end av firms.
crestron is making a crestron branded equivalent for the entire prodigy brand at roughly the same price point, and those products will play well with the entire crestron line.
the only problem i have is that they are *so far* not bundling processors and remotes together for a better price like they do with prodigy… so a MC3 and a MTX-3 are way more then a PMC3+ PAK
we've been trying to avoid prodigy like the plague since it was announced, but can't avoid it for smaller projects with smaller budgets. i.e. single room, never going to expand systems … for around $1200
we need that price point back from the full crestron line. once november 1st comes I'm not sure what I'm going to do. thats the cut off for getting prodigy direct from crestron.
