When specing a home theatre and multi room audio finish what products do you use for both? Do you stick with the Crestron lines or do you use a different mfg for the HT and use AAE or sonnex for multi-room?
We are currently using Adagio (AMS/AMS-AIP with AAE's) as these suit majority of our projects (basic home theatre with some rooms of audio). Where we are getting hand cuffed is on larger whole home jobs and DM distribution. Should we still use the AMS/AMS-AIP or drop it and go with a HT receiver controlled via IP or serial and have all the programming be completed on the MC3 and not worry about the AMS's processor remembering that the DM will be handelling the video switching?
The problem with the Adagio processors is that you can't add memory. We generally go with a processor plus an AAE for straight Audio distribution. The processor choice will depend on what I need in terms of control ( i.e. serial and IR).
The AIP is way over priced for most jobs so we spec in a HT receiver to suit the job and budget.
