lol, this is the most rediculous post ever.
G.W. Bush raised the debt ceiling 7 times during his mandate and if we look at other presidents you will see more of the same (i.e. debt ceiling being raised). Now I think the US needs to start taking its debt seriously, but to blame the debt on any one President is just stupid. This chrisis is nothing more then politics and anyone that can't see that is the one that needs to wake up.
ps to prove my point [Link: progressivetoo.com]
There was once a very wise British Prime Minister who said, "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics." Too bad Churchill isn't still around to set the record straight, so I will.
Statistics on raising the debt ceiling a certain amount of times has no real significance, as it is the amount of money the administration is spending that causes debt to increase, not the number of times the debt ceiling is raised. Since your man Obama has been in office, he has wasted TRILLIONS of dollars and has spent more in his first three years than all of the presidents before him - COMBINED!
Furthermore, his misguided socialist philosophy of depending on government to create jobs instead of businesses has not only contributed to our debt crisis, but has resulted in ZERO net jobs last month.
And so what is the response from the liberal, progressive left when presented with this FACT . . . It's still Bush's fault. Yea, right. Dream on. Your illustrious, incompetent man in the white house not only doesn't place any blame on himself, wherein it lies, but will probably blame Bush when he loses his re-election in 2012, because to him, nothing is the fault of this narcissist, full of hubris and vanity.
But hey, that's just my humble opinion. I could be wrong.
