Honeywell just released their new panel. The Vista 128BPT, the T is for turbo..... It communicates via RS232 at 9600 VS the older models at 1200. I guess it should be almost 8X as fast?? Also, the RS232 port is on the board, you don’t need the SM4100 module anymore.
From what I hear, Honeywell now understand the need get involved with the integration side and is making changes. Their new president is less protective of their “code” and she wants to open up the platform a little more.
I even hear that they are in the works with Crestron designing a specific interface module. They are ready to release one for C4. Crestron should be next.
