If your using wireless controls your power comes from the electrical box. These switches just connect to standard 120 volt wiring like a light switch.

Correct. In places where there is an electrical junction box in place with hot wire. What I am asking about is an area where there is nothing in place now. For example, the client is wanting a keypad in their master bathroom and guest room. The places where they want to put them have no electrical power at this time.

Is the best method then to jump off a nearby receptacle or switch?
