Working on a Prodigy system right now where I will be installing multiple P-CBDEX keypads (some for lighting control and some for audio). The home has sheetrock up but good attic access for me to drop power to the keypads and the multiple PTL4s.

There was a previous thread, without many responses, related to powering the PTL4s and keypads by direct connecting them to the PAMP. My thought was to use 18/2 to each drop and run it back to the central closet and into the PAMP.

Would love to hear some pros and cons on this approach. The electricians on the job mentioned jumping off a local switch or receptacle but I'm inclined to keep my work separate from theirs and run back to the home run.

Thoughts?
