I think the MLX-3 with iPad your best solution as long as the native iPad works or you have a processor with CF.
As for Sirius and Prodigy, you can purchase the ControlWorks Squeezebox module and put Sirius on to Prodigy--though it'll be a network stream and you'll still need a subscription.

3 sources. AM/FM, CEN-IDOCV, Sirius Tuner. My only concern with handhelds is the lack of real estate for feedback.
No roaming; I would have a remote for each audio zone and one for the TV room.
