Do you mean that you dropped the new remote, or the old one? What model cable box do you have?
Most Comcast boxes respond to either 01376 or 01982.
Please check that the remote is actually sending an IR signal. Do that with a digital camera (phone, for example) looking at the sending end of the remote through the viewfinder while pressing a button.
