Before I discovered the Pronto, I had been thinking of having 2 or 3 networked EEE PC's (with 7 inch touchscreens for each) as my control setup.

Or

A centrally located 'server' with multiple GFX cards giving the possibility of connecting up to 6 touchscreens.

As for hand-held, I would currently opt for either the iPad or the Android.

I'm sure that someday a battery-powered PC touchscreen will appear. There have been USB-powered touchscreens on the market for sometime. Wireless is the next logical step.

The battery-power PC touchsceen would be the ideal for me. If anyone knows of such a device please post me a link?
