If the tv isn't able to accept both IR & RF remnotes at the same time, yes you're stuck using two remote for ever. Because its not the mx-500 lack of RF that will keep you using two remotes, its the propriety RF frequency used by the samsung that no universal remote rf or ir will never be able to control.
