i have 901 dxr dvd recorder akai (Akai-DXR-901)
the remote has become bad . it suddenly stopped working
some keys works some dont, now i think all keys dont work.
so i want duplicate remote for it
can i use Universal-Remote for recording ,playing dvd.
recording is important function.

without remote i cant record or play dvds or cant do anything.

akai customer care dont helps they say they have discontine selling this model dxr-901 dvd recorder.but i see some shopkeepers are selling it and they cant give only remote , i mean they said i have to purchase recorder again to get remote.
