I am working on a system that has a Bose Lifestyles system. I added an Atlona 4x2 component switch to the system. Pedro built a 232 module for me, which I will finally be trying tomorrow.
My question is about how to implement the extra level of Input selection.
What I did is went to the AVR-ZONE EXTENDER and found the output signals for source select. So for example I found
SOURCE_'DVD-CD:Line-Level Audio'_Selected and put in a step for the Atlona Switch to also switch to the input/output needed for that room and source. I did it on the FALLING EDGE.
Is there a reason to do it on the falling edge vs, rising edge? Have I done this the right way?
The other idea I had was go to the Programming view PTX3->FAMILY->BOSE_AVR_Zone_Extender->ZONE_1 Subpage which is where I see the buttons with the sources on them that have the Macros for that source and put the extra step there.
Also, side question, can i set my IP address to static? i know there was an issue with my first prodigy system and DHCP not be "on". so i've been reluctant to set statics. I want to at least set the PMC2 to static.
