Hello all. Add me to the list of those with a non-learning 620. the odd thing is, i own the 600 and it learned the exact same buttons with no issues. It took me less than 10mins to program the 600 while I have spent several hours and several phone calls to Sony trying to get the 620 to work. UGH!
Just a quick update, I returned the 620 to Best Buy and purchased URC WR7 and it works great, I did have to manually program control of the VCR and a few other buttons from my television but it took the programming with no trouble so it was definitely Sony's 620 and not my remotes (as Sony hinted at several times while speaking with them).
