This is the correct forum. If you look at the top of the forum page, you'll see all the covered remotes listed, including the MX-980.
Was the MX-980 connecting to a previous non-64 bit PC, or is this the first time you've tried to connect it to any PC? If it's the first time, you may just have a defective remote or USB cable.
