For: Philips Pronto NG By: JohnL28 | John's Multizone PCF Setup A modified version of Daniel Tonks' excellent TSU3000 configuration. Very strong multi-zone support with access to 11 pieces of equipment from 10 TV's thoughout the house. 95% of the IR codes were generated using makehex and are VERY clean. For the AVR-4306, 95% is the work of Dave Swindell. I added a handful of missing discrete volume controls and cleaned up some duplicates. I also set up a pretty good "surf area" that will access TIVO, DVR, TV stations and also operate the 200-disc CD changer. |

For: Philips Pronto NG By: Peter A. Kemmer | Peter A. Kemmer's Custom Design Presenting the HD DirecTV TiVo edition of my Pronto NG PCF! With each new release I've put a ton of attention into making it simpler to navigate, easier to read, and harder to goof up. Even people with large fingers should find the clearely labeled, large, but spaciously arranged buttons to their liking. Quickly change source, navigate to any device, or rotate through a device's pages using the newly redesigned title bar, now with a pop-up menu that should have been in there from the beginning! Toss in task-based macros (with progress bars for the long ones} and you have an efficient system that's a real no brainer to use. Includes all the raw bitmaps and Photoshop source files. Comprehensive documentation can be found at http://www.ratsnest.com/pronto/ |

For: Philips ProntoPro NG By: Randy Mangoba | Randy Mangoba's Task-Based Setup This Pronto remote control configuration has a task-based user interface that maximizes ease of use for both casual and advanced users, while providing full access to all the audio/video devices' remote commands for complete end-user control. In addition to useful automated wizards and macros that turn on all the necessary devices and set their inputs and outputs accordingly based on what the user wishes to do, this remote has a number of useful features, including: a tab-based user interface for directly accessing the proper page of a remote device, user-friendly screens with progress bars for long running macros, an "activity" bar at the top of each page containing commonly used commands, extensive help text, a special page for allowing the Pronto's screen to be cleaned, and many more user-friendly features. Buttons are color-coded so that advanced use only functions are colored orange. This configuration is the TSU7000 colored version of the TSU3000 PCF I originally submitted in 2004, but has additional usability enhancements as well as support for significantly many more devices. |

For: Philips ProntoPro NG By: Keith Michaels | Contest Entry #10: Trek7000 This PCF design is based on LCARS (Library Computer Access and Retrieval System), the graphical computer interface seen on certain Star Trek TV series. There are control pages for a TV, DSS receiver, TiVo, ReplayTV, Receiver, DVD player, LaserDisc player, 2 VCRs, CD player, tuner, tape deck, video games, lights, and curtains.A few of the standard system items have been replaced to take advantage of the whole LCD and create a complete design: - The activity icon is now a Star Trek phaser and pops up while the Pronto transmits.
- The battery gauge is a functioning LCARS-style battery gauge.
- Pressing and holding the circular blue logo for 3 seconds takes you to the Pronto's setup pages.
Additional Info:To go to the Home page at any time, press the lower-right "Home" hard button. I tried to leave all device functionality as generic as possible, hopefully allowing most people to use this PCF in their own system without much customization beyond programming their device's IR codes. To simplify programming, a "Codes" page under each device contains buttons with the IR codes for that device. The actual device buttons link to these buttons for their IR codes. |

For: Philips ProntoPro NG By: Aldo Morell | Rolex Controller This is an original system design with custom graphics. The system is activity based, but from each activity section you can switch to another activity, another page of the activity or to a specific device control section. It is so easy to use that my wife says she can finally use the controller. The graphics are based on stainless steel background and gold trim like a Rolex Datejust watch. At the top of the activity pages there are tabs with icons for other activities such as watch DVD, listen to CD, Steam Music etc. On the left side there are tabs with icons for each device. And along the bottom, above the hard button labels, there are tabs with icons for each page of the activity section. |
