Simple System for Mom For: URC MX-900 By: Jim Hafers | After much research, and a great tip from Mike Lang, I got the Elite screen working. I happened to have an old One-for-all remote and learned the codes to that first, then to the MX-900. Might work on some other Elite screens. The remote is set up with simplicity in mind, for my mother and her boyfriend. Bulletproof, with discretes and RF. Hope this helps some people! |

Mark Giles' Main Remote For: URC MX-900 By: Mark Giles | Complete system set up. I was able to find descretes for just about everything I need. I have quick access to sound and lighting for on-the-fly adjustments from any activity. I'll probly tinker some more with it, but for the most part, it's done. The wife gave it 2 thumbs up (that's gotta mean something). |

JGM's MX-800 Theater Program For: HTM MX-700 (System) By: Jeffrey Morrison | This configuration includes a number of pages to allow the remote to be used with multiple rooms. It features a common POWER page that combines the power functions for all devices in one location. It also features macros to toggle operating modes to and from watching the cable TV to the Roku Digital Media Server, the CD Player, or the Go Video DVD / VCR (no need to pwer the system down first and then bring back up in the correct mode). The DVD Macros change the inputs to the Denon receiver as well as configure the Sony HD television appropriately. The Power On Macros are will power up the correct components and set them to the correct operating mode. Select the function desired from the main (home) screen and the press the power button. All Power Off Macros return the system to watching Cable Television before powering off to ensure consistent operation. |

Mitch Wayman's MX-900 System Setup For: URC MX-900 By: Mitch Wayman | Lots of discretes and macros. I did extensive testing and troubleshooting to make sure it all works as flawlessly as possible. I prefer having a "Main" page vice the activity based layout - that's why the "Watch" and "Listen" pages are identical. One less step to get to where you want to be. If my wife can use it anyone can use it! Feel free to post your questions, comments, and suggestions. |

Lee Friedman's MX-950 For: URC MX-950 By: Lee Friedman | This is a novice's basic setup of the MX-950 remote. There are a few comments I would like to add regarding my design philosophy. I am fortunate in that my components all offered discrete on/off codes, enabling me to avoid variable statements for the various power statuses of the devices. The main program design issue I had was the main up/down/left/right "joystick" button in the middle of the remote. While it normally operates the codes for the Motorola STB, I had to design a situation in which it controls the TV menu system if that is accessed (hence assigning the joystick buttons to the Pioneer). I managed to do this by writing identical pages under both TV and STB devices; the default page is the STB device, where the toggle operates STB commands. When "menu" is pressed however, it opens the identical page under TV, wherein the toggle operates Pioneer commands. The MENU button itself toggles between the pages so that exiting the TV menu brings the remote back to STB-appropriate commands. Menu paging is seemless, with only the page title changing. I used variables to define the status of the AVR device selector (eg. TV, DVD, etc.), since changing from TV to TV or DVD to DVD... (more) |
