Sony RM-VL600 Remote Control
Two new remote control reviews...
On a budget, but concerned about getting budget-level features? Want a universal remote that economizes in price but not in performance? If so, then Sony’s latest universal remote control, the RM-VL600, just may be right for you. As an upgrade of the RM-VL710, the RM-VL600 not only shares many of the same features, such as adequate memory for a learned command on every single button, but it enhances those specifications as well! You get control of an additional 3 devices – bringing the total up to 8 – and a further 3 macros for an even dozen automated sequences.

But the best part of this deal is that the RM-VL600 retails for only $25 – that’s $10 less than the former price/performance champion RM-VL710!

So, I’m very pleased today to release our complete review of the Sony RM-VL600 learning remote control. As usual the review is packed with plenty of details and photos, and there’s even a rewritten quick programming guide that may be easier to follow than the original manual. Check it out!

Sony RM-V310 Remote Control But wait, that’s not all! As a supplement to the new RM-VL600 review I’ve also completed a companion review for Sony’s RM-V310 model, which shares the same physical design and keypad layout as the RM-VL600. The RM-V310 is a preprogrammed remote control capable of controlling up to 7 devices, and yet it costs only $15. Like the RM-VL600 review, this one also includes many photos along with a rewritten programming guide.

Finally, with the holiday season now upon us, I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who has supported Remote Central over the past year. It’s you, the great folks whose support and community spirit that help make Remote Central what it is. I hope that the coming weeks bring enjoyable times with friends and family, and wish you all the best for 2007!
