What's new for Monday November 20, 2000...
(Return to the November 2000 news index...)
It’s been quite a busy week! In continuation of last week’s site design update, I have just finished upgrading both the Pronto/RC5000 and RTI TheaterTouch file areas to match the new layout, along with incorporating a few enhancements and bug fixes. In addition, all message forums have also been enhanced with a brand new look and additional navigation buttons. Be sure to let me know how everything looks!

New remote review: OK, you’re probably looking at the photograph of this remote and wondering exactly how it fits into the scheme of things here. Well, if you’ve got small children, think of the Fobis Technologies Weemote as a decoy for your expensive universal. Even if you don’t yet have a universal, it’d be wiser for you to put this cute little $30 remote in the hands of your kids rather than the original equipment’s. In addition to the fun design, the Weemote also features a parental control function that lets you select exactly what channels your kids can watch, with five one-touch access buttons to their favorite channels. Want more information? Be sure to read our new review, complete with photographs!

New DVD reviews: Finally, I’ve got three brand new DVD reviews ready for today. Read all about the classic spoof of the Airport movies, Airplane! starring Robert Hayes and Julie Hagerty. Go deep underwater during World War II on the hunt for a German decoding machine with the suspense action movie, U-571, which also features an amazing soundtrack. Finally, turn the lights down low and keep watch over your shoulder with the science-fiction horror thriller, Pitch Black.

Just a small note that I’ve also received a new 2mb Philips Pronto TSU2000 (as described in this news update and updated here) and hope to take a close look at it shortly.
