Sony RM-VL710 Features:

Controls up to 5 devices: The RM-VL710 features direct hard button access to TV, VCR, Cable, DVD and Amp devices.

Supports 39 commands per device: The RM-VL710 has 4 more buttons than either the RM-VL700 or RM-VL900.

Infrared code learning: The RM-VL710 can learn up to 204 infrared codes from your existing remote controls. Codes can be up to 500KHz in frequency and 250 bits in length.

Preprogrammed codes: The RM-VL710 includes a database with more than 500 non-Sony preprogrammed code sets. Preset codes are included for analog cable boxes, CD players, digital cable boxes, DVD players, DVRs (ReplayTV and TiVo), MD decks, mini systems, receivers, satellite receivers, tape decks, televisions, TV/VCR combos, and VCRs. A built-in code search feature allows for easy code number discovery.

4 System Control & 5 Component Select macros: Each macro can contain up to 16 commands, making the RM-VL710 capable of automating almost any task.

Volume punchthrough: Allows all devices to control either the television or amplifier’s volume controls.

Copy devices: If a device isn’t where you’d like it, it can be copied to a new position on the remote.

Memory backup: Maintains settings even when batteries are removed.
