Strengths:This thing is awesome. So far there is nothing wrong with it at all. It is the coolest thing i've added to my surround sound and living room.I am really glad i bought it. every one I know is in aww.
Weaknesses:None, this thing does everything you would ever need, anyone.
Review:I think everyone who wants to have pimp shit at there house should def. have this remote. I would buy it over again if someone stole mine. So to all, go out and get one.

Strengths:Nice Look, easy to use
Innovative GUI that changes with different modes
Programmable
Upgradable
One of the few that works with my Dishplayer!
Weaknesses:Bulky ie. too wide and long- hard to reach buttons
A bit awkward to program buttons
Menu feature on my recent JVC not fully functionable
A bit kinda expensive
Review:It is generally a very nice and ingenious remote control. I really like the GUI that changes when you switch to a differnet unit. I would certainly recommend it for those who have the Dishplayer receiver(Though you may like to program a few buttons)

Strengths:Has a back lite screen. eg. great when in the dark. Priced way below Sonys back lite screen unit. Easy to program.
Had it setup in maybe ten minutes ?
Weaknesses:None so far. Will watch the batteries from what other people have said.
Found only one item I couldnt program in it. (Sub Title function from my DVD player remote)
Review:I love the unit. Does exactly what I bought it for. I had four remotes. I now have one. I watch DVDs every night and usually start the DVD player, TV, Audio system in the dark. The backlite screen works great for this. Originally was going to buy the Sony unit but it was retail 179. And this is Retail 60. Great job Radio Shack you hit a homerun for a "first time type product".

Strengths:- Very easy to see at night since it lights up.
- It has buttons for my TiVo!
- Not complicated to use since only active buttons are lit and animated.
- Atractively priced.
- High availability since it's through Radio Shack.
- Cool factor. A real conversation piece.
Weaknesses:- The slightest change in room air pressure caues it to wake-up. So my subwoofer keeps it lit constantly.
- Not easy to program.
- Limited memory, fills-up easily.
- On my 3rd set of 4 AAA batteries in as many months.
- Light buzzing sound when lit.
- Radio Shack devices are often associated with cheap products (i.e. 'Realistic').
Review:The complete review here on remotecentral.com pretty much hits the nail on the head. No need for me to repeat it.

Strengths:Looks Cool
Weaknesses:BUYER BEWARE: Clearly a defective product from the get go! Eats batteries like there is no tomorrow.
Review:I purchased one of these around Christmas. Within the first two months it ate three sets of batteries so badly that the acid was leaking out of it. Thinking the unit was defective, I returned it to RadioShack and got another one. This one just did the same thing. Buyer beware, this is a defective product, and Radio Shacks support line is not available after 5PM Eastern, and extremely difficult to reach after during their normal hours. This one's going back to RS!

Strengths:Looks, code database.
Weaknesses:Limited learning ability, limited customisation, turns off too quickly, poor feedback from keys, build quality
Review:I bought the OFA Kameleon and took it back 24 hours later. There were too many annoyances for me to be able to live with it for any length of time. Examples:

* biggest bugbear - limited feedback from the buttons. This remote has the disadvantages of a buttom remote (no control over button location) with the disadvantages of a LCD remote (you can't control it in the dark without looking at it).
* quality issues - sometimes the surface would appear to "stick" when pressing, and then pop back a few seconds later. How long the surface would work I don't know.
* you can't control what buttons appear in each mode. I want transport and cursor keys in VCR mode thank you!
* the remote turned itself off too quickly (5 seconds or so), if you're fast-forwarding you had to wake it up before you could do anything.

Overall I thought it was overpriced for what it did, and took it back for a Oneforall 6 (hard buttoned) which does everything the Kameleon does for less than half the price, and looks twice as sturdy.
