Strengths:Ease of use. Software. RF control works great.
Weaknesses:IR Learning is a bit touchy. Learn and CHECK your codes before you start formatting the rest of remote. X-10 codes do not seem to work very reliable through the IRF and the IR-543.
Review:I enjoyed short learning curve of the software. I did have some problems learning some codes, where I had to fool around with repeats and relearning the codes until they worked consistently. The IRF is the only way to go. For reliability of any macros much cleaner and efficient.

It would be nice to have transport buttons.
A better way of handling X-10 commands would be nice.

Other than that, I am happy. As long as my wife does not find out how much I put out for this remote control system.

Strengths:Hard buttons are great.
The extra option of the IRF-6 for RF is the best money I have spent!
Very easy to program.
Bitmaps are easy to make.
RTI staff is great for support.
Weaknesses:IR Learning, is a little hard.
Screen is a little small. But nice.
There was suppose to be a IR model too but no luck on that.
Review:As a past owner of the Pronto remote control, my need's started to grow for some RF control and my family wanted some button's they could push. I also wanted a remote which had software which was as easy to use as the prontoedit or easier. I found the rTI remote in a ad awhile ago and never heard anything about it again. I than was purchasing some MonsterCables on-line and found it. I love this thing!
