Strengths: Price, quality Weaknesses: No learning or "advanced code" functionality Review: This is just another of the usual 8-device universal remote control species, that most likely won't get you where you want to be with your home theater system. If that'll get the job done for you, this is a fine quality remote, but if you're visiting this web site, you probably want more than this! I even found it limited in the operation of my Sony audio/video receiver -- it wouldn't switch to all of the inputs that the receiver offers! Gosh, you'd think they'd set it up to work with their own stuff, but no... So, what you see is what you get, unless it turns out to be even a bit less than that. Pop the extra few bucks for the RM-VL900, and you'll be MUCH more satisfied! Quality: Features: Value:

Review 1 made on Thursday August 24, 2000 at 6:13 PM. Weaknesses: Wierd shape and balance, heavy. No DVD controls. Review: I purchased it at Best Buy for around $30.00. What a waste of money. No learning capabilities, no macro either (what can you expect for 30 bones?). If you are going to buy a universal remote, at least get one with learning capabilities.
