Strengths: Ultra low cost Weaknesses: Timer shortfalls Size / weight Review: I have the UK spec model by Cambridge Audio called M500 multimedia explorer. The only difference is the button labelling as far as I can see. For UKP29.99 it is outstanding value for money, the equivalent One4All comes in at UKP70 and is not of the learning variety. It contols my Panasonic TX36pf10 / SCHT80 cinema with ease and almost has perfect button labelling for all functions. Ok so it appears plasticky and normal as opposed to LCD units but it's nowhere near the price but in some cases has more functions. The macro facility is a doddle to use and can take over most mundane tasks with ease. The timer is useful for swapping sattelite channels (function missing on UK sat boxes) for recording purposes. The falldown here is that you can only set the timer for 24hrs periods which is a bit daft when it has a date and year facility on board. The only thing I cannot get it to do is switch the tv on using a macro, the panny needs a constant ir pulse to enable it and I have yet to find a way to get the unit to do this. The handset is quite chunky and heavy but also very robust (apart from the pulldown flap) but you would have to go some to beat it at the price. Quality: Features: Value:
