Also owned:Logitech 768
Logitech 880
Strengths:Standard remote control configuration for viewing Blu-ray, DVDs, etc.
Very good battery life
Range is far bigger than you would expect from a bluetooth device
Weaknesses:Bluetooth rather than IR, but that's a PS3 issue, rather than a remote issue.
No backlight
Black buttons in a black case
Review:This works much better than a PS3 controller, since the buttons are labelled with the functions you'd expect. However, all the functionality that is in this remote is also available using a standard PS3 controller, so there is nothing new in terms of functionality.
The fact that the PS3 uses bluetooth for the remote is a plus and a minus. The plus is the range and the fact that you don't have to point the remote at the PS3 (but you still do. Old habits.)
The minus is that you can't integrate it into a universal remote. You have to have it sitting around. I know you can use an older PS2 ir remote with the PS3, but you don't get the range of functions, and you can't switch the PS3 on with an ir remote.
I've also found that this remote is good for navigating the PS3 menus.
As for cost, you should be able to pick this remote up in a PS3 bundle, so there is good value for money.
