URC Introduces MX HomePro
Control Entertainment Plus Smart Home Devices
Dallas TX – CEDIA 2016 Booth #5128 – September 9, 2016 – URC, a global leader in smart home automation and control, announces the introduction of MX HomePro, a new cloud-based smart home control system for the CEDIA channel.
Supporting the MX HomePro debut, URC will offer two CEDIA 2016 MX HomePro Product Training Courses to be held September 15th and 16th in Dallas, TX. URC will also provide hands-on programing demonstrations in URC CEDIA 2016 booth #5128.
MX HomePro is designed to meet the needs of today’s connected consumers and meld seamlessly into their unplugged lifestyles. Easy to install and program, MX HomePro offers users one-touch control of their home entertainment as well as the Internet of Things: lighting, thermostats, security cameras and popular Z-Wave® products.
In addition to an ergonomic URC Remote Control and compact Smart Hub, the MX HomePro Mobile App delivers on-the-go control via smartphone and tablet. Simple programming allows installers and users to get started quickly. And the MX HomePro Editor helps dealers maintain customers’ systems from anywhere with web access, without rolling a truck. The cloud-based Editor software offers convenient programming via PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet.
“We optimized our more than twenty-five years in the control and custom install business to deliver the ideal smart home package that signifies a new entry point for many of today’s connected home consumers,” said Doug Cole, SVP and General Manager of URC. “Developed with ease of installation, service and high-performance use in mind, the affordable MX HomePro empowers our dealers to offer single-room and whole-home automation systems to a broader base of clients than ever before.”
Simple, reliable and powerful, MX HomePro is a leap forward in integrated home control. It’s ideal for single family homes, townhouses, condominiums and apartments alike.
“As we designed MX HomePro, URC worked closely with our integration partners. These include leading brands in A/V, lighting, HVAC, surveillance and security and more – supported by the industry’s largest database of IR and IP control codes,” said Cole.
MX HomePro is simple to program and install. The H500 Smart Hub connects via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to control the main room of entertainment plus smart home devices throughout the home. The included Mobile App, a free download from Apple iTunes™ or Google Play™, offers one-touch control at home or on the go.
The R500 Wi-Fi Smart Remote Control, featuring a 2” color LCD and a favorite channels option, is designed to control one room of entertainment plus smart home devices throughout the home. Installers can add the URC Z-Wave® Gateway TRF-ZW2 to control all Z-Wave based lights, thermostats, door locks and security cameras within the home and enable creation of one-touch Z-Wave scenes.
MX HomePro custom installation dealers will enjoy award-winning URC technical support and ongoing training programs including in-person training, webinars and self-paced online tutorials.
