Sony RM-EZ4 Remote Control If you caught our review last week of the Sony RM-VL610 learning universal remote control, then you’ll know that if you’re a DVR user and have $30 to spend it’s essentially impossible to find something better on the market. But what if you only had a budget of $10?

Today I’m pleased to present a supplementary review of two other current Sony universal remotes, the RM-V210 and RM-EZ4. The first is a 4-device preprogrammed remote with all of the new DVR functions that were added to the RM-VL610, and the other is a specialty purpose big-buttoned remote great for everyone from kids to the elderly.

Both of these models join Sony’s RM-V310 to round out the lower end of their lineup. As all three remotes share similar programming and operational concepts, it’s at the end of our prior review of the RM-V310 where you’ll find coverage of these new models. If you’re unfamiliar with how the RM-V310 operates you’ll likely want to catch up on that one first.
