RC News Story
I'm pleased to report that I've finally caught up with all file area submissions - so if you've sent in a remote control-related file in the past while, it's now online and available for download.

In addition, there are two new sub-sections in the Other Files area, for device IR code sheets and device RS-232 protocol sheets. These are meant to collect and archive original IR & RS-232 command lists as supplied by the manufacturer, which can then be used (sometimes after a bit of decoding) with any remote control system. If the demand for this section grows, they will be given their own separate file area.

As always, please send in your remote control files to share with the community!

woo hooo . . rs232 document collection!
much needed - good job!
I realized that these original code sheets are the kind of thing that really should be archived somewhere, and I don't trust the original companies to do it for more than a couple of years.

For example, I've been archiving remote control manuals for years, and a good chunk of them are simply no longer available from the manufacturer's site. I suspect the same will happen with these IR/RS232 documents.
smart . .
