International CES As many of you are aware, this is the week for the absolutely gigantic International CES 2005 show held in Las Vegas, Nevada. CES is the “Consumer Electronics Show” and is the single most popular launching platform for new electronics devices. Naturally we’ll be there, covering all the latest universal remote controls plus everything else of interest. After the show we’ll present our full report, complete with the now traditional video tour!

NetRemote 1.0 Series NetRemote Released
Promixis, makers of the popular Girder Windows automation utility, have recently announced the availability of the NetRemote 1.0 series for the Pocket PC, which is made up of three separate programs.

First there’s the $19.99 NetRemote Music, an application that uses your Pocket PC’s WiFi connection to control desktop-based multimedia players, providing complete access to your entire digital music library. Second is the $19.99 NetRemote IR, a learning universal remote control program for your PocketPC that uses Pronto CCF files. Finally, you can get both of these components and even more frills in the $29.99 NetRemote Pro bundle.
