David Shaw's White PCF From: David Shaw For: Philips Pronto NG | This is a "White" version of my Midnite PCF. There have been some new bitmaps added, many modified, and a few minor changes.Just about any page is only 2 or 3 button pushes away. I even used rocker switches for my power on and off buttons! It has been cetified as wife friendly. The PCF has been tested in the 3000 remote and most of the bitmaps had to be darkened for best viewing. There is a lot of difference between the simulator and the actual remote views. Dennis Wilkinson's Complete System From: Dennis Wilkinson For: Philips Pronto NG | This is my first complete system PCF. It's a hybrid of an activity-oriented design and a device-oriented one, and all the graphics and bitmaps are my own, and are intentionally pretty simple looking. I tried to design this such that there was only one page per device, with the most-frequently used buttons assigned to the hard buttons. Don Couture's PCF Setup From: Don Couture For: Philips Pronto NG | Activity based PCF with welcome screen, jumps to any activity from the current activity as well as jumps to full remotes for system setup etc. Complete help system to get the theater back in sync if a macro or other command leaves the system in a unknown state. The wife and guests love this - no more fiddling around just answer yes or no to the questions posed and the system corrects itself. Thanks to Archer and Daniel for most of the icons. Simple and Elegant Home Theater Control From: Don Wostmann For: Philips Pronto NG | Mix of custom and downloaded images from other files found on Remote Central. I designed this system to be very easy to learn and use for anyone visiting our theater. The driving factor was to make it as easy as possible for my wife to use when I'm not home. Two of the items I really like are the homepage, which happens to be a picture of the entrance to my home theater and the series of macros that are built into many of the options. All in all, I've been very pleased with this setup and have been using it for over 3 years now. I did a recent refresh of the channel logos and type to ensure it's all similar in look and feel. Devices: Cable: Motorola DCT6200, Camcorder: Sony DCR-TRV11, CD: Sony CDP-225, DVD 1: Samsung DVD-HD850, DVD 2: Sony DVP-NC665P, Game: Sony PlayStation 3, Lighting: Lutron Spacer, Projector: Sanyo PLV-Z1, Receiver: Denon AVR-3803, Security: Nortech E-CMKIT001, Switch: Psyclone PSC01 | File: don-wostmann_pcf.zip Size: 1.44mb Date: 04/01/07 |

Rossi's Remote From: Eduardo Rossi For: Philips Pronto NG | This is nothing more than Adam Bursey's design (posted here), adapted to my devices, and simplified a bit for my wife to play with it. It's a very functional and easy to use setup, divided by ACTIVITY and not by component. TV, for example will have controls for TV, Receiver and cable box. It has a simple screen for every activity and then all the other controls used less often in separate menus. There is some use of macros. Enjoy and feel free to tweak it around and post your version here. Gary Rodgers's First PCF From: Gary Rodgers For: Philips Pronto NG | This is my first attempt at this. The system is very easy to navigate through. It is almost complete. I have borrowed all of the buttons from others but created my own layout that seems to work really well. The good thing about it is my wife understands it and can now watch the TV when I am not at home. Gerald Maxwell's Layout From: Gerald Maxwell For: Philips Pronto NG | A neat GUI that I snagged from GUIStuff.com, so I can't take credit for any of the graphic work other than remote buttons. The rest is a complete file, including macros already set up - simply drop in your IR commands and you "should" be ready to go! Drop a line on the email to let me know what you think... Thanks! | File: gerald-maxwell_pcf.zip Size: 935kb Date: 02/17/04 |
Gernot Zipperling's TSU3000 From: Gernot Zipperling For: Philips Pronto NG | Plain and simple--it's (mainly) in black and white. Although the RU950/TSU3000 can display grayscales I was never really happy with them in point how they look on the RC itself (they DO look better in ProntoEdit, imho) and especially I wasn't happy with the visibility in a semi-dark or dark room (the backlighting doesn't help much, imho). So there are lots of prettier system files, but I did go primarily for usability. The system file is very dry and functional, no gimmicks whatsoever. The file itself is small too (about 100kb), so it will load fast to your Pronto, which is an advantage when playing around with updated versions. The majority of the pages will give you the possibilty of a direct jump to the other devices, which is another advantage in daily use. Please note that the labels are in semi German/English language as I am a German citizen. I don't think editing this should be a problem. So, It may not look as good as other but it's very functional.
