Minority Report
(2 votes)
Location:chapter 8 .. i think. the scene titled "everbody runs" and the scenes that follow
Features:great DTS surround speaker test.
Description:the back-to-back action sequences (starting with "everybody runs" scene) was the only part of the movie "Minority Report" that I actually liked. The futuristic freeway scene has great sound effects and good use of the subwoofer in DTS mode. The next scene, where he enters a metro subway station is incredible. Each audible ad comes from a different speaker. Truly surround sound, truly amazing.!

The scene with the Precrime unit trying to nab John Anderton and the car assembly scene that follows also have great sound effects. Especially whenever he uses that sound boom gun.

Note: this was the first movie I watched as I just purchased a hometheater system.

Mission To Mars
(0 votes)
Location:Chapter 5 (or 9 in other. issues)
Features:Soundeffects "walk around" in your living room
Description:They play a Van Halen - Title in the rotating spaceship. It's rotating around your head.
A few minutes later there's a conference with groundcontrol, you are following acousticly the rotating camera around the bord-crew and hear the voice of the mission-chief from the position of the momentary filmed crew-member.
Very great surround effects. You'll believe, you're on bord

Monsters Inc.
(1 vote)
Location:Unk
Features:THX/5.1
Description:Near the end - where Randal and Sulley are fighting. Just after Randal hits Sulley with a canister he appears and then goes invisible. Right when he goes invisible the sound engineers take advantage of the soundstage and Randal's evil laugh w/ some echo can be heard panning around you. It is a nice feature and it made my dog flip out!

Throughout the rest of the movie there is great sound, taking advantage of the THX quality the the sub when Boo laughs - the power surge effect is really great.
