ummmm but can I control my window AC with my new Pronto TSU3000. The AC manual says to point the remote anywhere and it will work via RF and pronto has RF so it must work. But when I point the AC remote at my pronto to learn the command it times out and locks up...I should have stuck with my Harmony, I know that one would have worked.

:-)

BUMP !!!!!

:-)

yeah I'm getting kind of tired explaining it too...not sure why I do anymore.

Seen another posted RF remote question... May not be exactly what this thread is about, but one else ever searches before posting, so why should I. :)

...lol... I'm sure if that's a compliment or not.

I have been avoiding this particular forum. Just tried of reading the same old by first timers that haven't bothered trying to search for their answers. Especially about learning RF...

I'm about to release an RF sniffing and learning remote; due out in 2 weeks. It includes an 8' tall conical antenna that will have to be stored somewhere in the room where the remote is being used with a small 1" diameter umbilical cord for the handheld unit. I know it may be a bit of an eyesore but think about the possibilities come Christmas time. The initial release will be matte black for the tower but future finishes are in the works to really gussy it up. It will solve all of your problems smoke.

Better use something better than that bottom end cabling you tried to peddle on me a couple of months ago.

Will it give me feedback from my fireplace and ceiling fan?

Hey Tweet, why not use flat-wire? How about putting a bulb and lamp shade on top of the tower to help it blend into the room better?

They are indeed, 2 way feed back from your in-window AC and harbour breeze ceiling fans to boot.

It never ends with you. I try to make you the deal of a century; a deal any man would be proud of; the type of deal that will make one's friends and family green with envy. You'll be the only one with computer speaker cabling that costs more than the average Canadian mid-sized luxury car...this is the thanks I get :-)

You know, that is a great idea. Our initial in-field beta testing on the antenna is producing high levels of the dreaded non-WAF. It is reported however that most are willing to forgo the included benefits of recognizing the WAF in order to be able to control these devices. My only concern is that the lampshade will push the vertical height of the antenna past the typical ceiling height in most homes.
