Someone asked me to install a home theatre system hor him and wants to put the AV Receiver and every thing else in a closet. I'm not a profesional and have not installed a home theatre in 10 years :) is there a radio remote control that I can get for him to be able to use it without pointing it to the units? Maybe a remote wich operates on radio waves with an infrared decoder in front of the units or something simmilar?
Thanks

You might be getting in over your head with this type of install if you never done this before. Yes you can do RF. I see that you are in Chicago, Depending where you are located, RF does not always work. There is tons of interferance in the city. You can install a IR repeater system from Xantech, Speakercraft, or Niles. They are usually pretty dependable as long as the you are pointing the remote at the IR receiver the whole time the macro is being sent.
